Prohibited items

“ASG Business Aviation” LLC does not carry out transportation of dangerous goods.

No dangerous goods can be carried in a cockpit and cabin of an A.C, as well as in a luggage compartment, except as permitted by GOM and IATA DG.

Carriage of all types of electric scooters and segways registered as hand luggage, checked baggage, and cargo by ASG Business Aviation flights are prohibited (order 571. 14.07.2016 “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC)

Dangerous goods that can be carried in a cabin

Passengers and flight crews may carry a limited number of the following dangerous goods in their hand luggage for personal use:

  • Toilet items: perfume, nail polish, nail polish remover
  • Small lithium and lithium-ion batteries in portable electronic equipment
  • Alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of less than 70%
  • Dry ice (maximum 2.5 kg per passenger)

In any case, a report must be prepared if an undeclared or incorrectly declared dangerous cargo is found in a passenger's luggage. This report should be sent to ASGBA and relevant authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a country where a case was discovered.

Items that are strictly forbidden to carry in your luggage

  • Radioactive substances
  • Gas
  • Explosives
  • Fireworks
  • Poison
  • Substances prone to corrosion
  • Magnets

Items that are allowed in luggage, but strictly prohibited in a cabin:

  • Supply
  • Cold steel arms

Items allowed to be handed over or transported in luggage:

  • Toilet items: perfumes, aerosols
  • Matches, lighters

Dangerous goods: In wheelchairs / On moving chairs and others

Ion-lithium batteries in equipment

Electric wheelchairs are not allowed in a cabin of ASGBA aircraft.

It is forbidden to carry electronic scooters, segways equipped with lithium batteries as hand luggage, registered luggage, or cargo on all flights of ASG Business Aviation (order 571 / 14.07.2016).

18. Appendices

18.1. List of items prohibited for boarding in the Republic of Azerbaijan for security reasons (appendix № 1).

a) Rifles, firearms, and other weapons

Any object capable of firing a bullet or a reactive missile, or probable arability of firing a bullet, that could injure others, including:

  • All firearms (pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, etc.)
  • Duplicates of firearms
  • Firearms components (optical sights - excluding visors/glasses)
  • Air pistols, rifles, and shotguns
  • Signal torch weapon
  • Starting pistols
  • All kinds of toy weapons
  • Ball pillow weapon
  • Industrial bolts and pneumatic hammers
  • Crossbow
  • Harpoons (spears or hooks for hunting large sea animals)
  • Animal killing weapon
  • Stunning, crushing devices such as cattle needles, ballistic guided weapons (taser)
  • Igniters in a form of firearms

b) Sharp and cutting-punching tools and weapons

Able to injure sharp and cutting-punching tools and weapons, including:

  • Axes and saws
  • Arrows and spears
  • Clamps
  • Harpoon and lance
  • Ice drills
  • Ice skates
  • knives of any length, sharpened, folding or buttoned
  • Knives, including ceremonial knives, with a blade length of more than 6 cm, made of metal or other materials strong enough to be used as a potential weapon.
  • Butcher knives
  • Machete
  • Open razors and razors longer than 6 cm (excluding safety cartridges or disposable razors)
  • Swords, daggers, bows
  • Surgical knives, scalpels
  • Scissors with a blade length of more than 6 cm
  • Ski and ski poles
  • Throwing stars
  • Craft tools that can be used as cutting-punching tools; for example, drills, square cutters, knives for secondary work, all saws, screwdrivers, drill bits, hammers (ledge-hammer), chisels, spanners/wrenches, blowtorches.

c) Blunt tools

  • Any blunt instrument that could cause injury, including:
  • Baseball bats and pool cues
  • Trees or sticks - solid or elastic - for example, sticks, stumps, police sticks, and rods
  • Сricket bats
  • Golf sticks
  • Hockey sticks
  • Lacrosse stick
  • Kayak and canoe paddles
  • Skateboards
  • Billiards, snooker, and pool cues
  • Fishing rods
  • Martial arts tools such as: cassettes (five fingers), batons, heavy lead batons, kubatans

d) Explosive and flammable substances

  • Any explosive or flammable substance that endangers the health of a passenger and crew or safety/order of an aircraft and ground, including:
  • Military ammunition
  • Capsule detonators
  • Detonators and wicks
  • Explosive substances and explosive devices
  • Duplicate or similar explosives substances or devices
  • Mines and other explosive ammunition
  • All kinds of grenades
  • Gas and gas cylinders; for example: butane, propane, acetylene, oxygen - in large quantities
  • Fireworks, flares, and other pyrotechnics or firearms in any form (including banquet fireworks means and toy capsules)
  • Combustible matches
  • Smoke bombs, canisters, or cartridges
  • Flammable liquid fuels; for example: petrol (gas), gasoline, diesel, light fuel, ethanol
  • An aerosol paint spray can
  • Turpentine and dye thinner

e) Chemicals and toxic substances

  • Any chemical or poisonous substance that threatens the health of a passenger and crew or safety/order of A.C. or property, including:
  • Acids and alkalis (leaking "wet" batteries)
  • Corrosive or bleaching agents such as mercury, chlorine, etc.
  • Harmful or anesthetic sprays – for example: pepper spray, tear gas
  • Radioactive material - for example: medical and commercial isotopes
  • Poisons
  • Infectious or biohazardous material such as contaminated blood, bacteria, and viruses
  • Material capable of sudden combustion or ignition
  • Fire extinguishers
  • The following substances cannot be carried in hand luggage:
  • Explosives and explosives substances, including detonators, wicks, grenades, mines
  • Gases: propane, butane

f) Flammable liquids, including gasoline, methanol

  • Flammable solids and reactive substances, including magnesium, fireworks, flares, signal rockets
  • Oxidizers and organic peroxides, including bleach, car body repair tools kit
  • Toxic or infectious substances
  • Radioactive material, including medical and commercial isotopes
  • Abrasive substances, including mercury, engine accumulators

 

Warning!

Carrying dangerous items on board an aircraft is illegal and violators can be prosecuted and fined.

 

1. Passengers and Cabin Baggage - LIST OF PROHIBITED ARTICLES - Regulation (EU) 2015/1998, Attachment 4-C

Without prejudice to applicable safety rules, passengers are not permitted to carry the following articles into security restricted areas and on board an aircraft.
a.) Guns, firearms and other devices that discharge projectiles – devices capable, or appearing capable, of being used to cause serious injury by discharging a projectile, including:
Pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, toy guns and replicas capable of being mistaken for real weapons Compressed air and CO2 guns, Pellet guns, component parts of fire arms, cross bows and arrows Signal flare and starter pistols, harpoon and spear guns slingshots and catapults
b.) Stunning devices – devices designed specifically to stun or immobilize, including:
Stun guns, stun batons, mace, tear gas, tasers
Other disabling and incapacitating gases and sprays
like animal repellent, capsicum and acid sprays
Animal stunners and animal killers
c.) Objects with a sharp point or sharp edge, capable of being used
to cause serious injury:

Ice picks and axes, knives with blades of more than 6 cm Razor blades, Martial arts equipment, Swords and sabres, box cutters, hatchets, bolt and nail guns, Cleavers, Scissors with blades of more than 6 cm as measured from the fulcrum,
d.) Workmen's tools-tools capable of being used either to cause serious
Injury or to threaten the safety of aircraft, including:

Crowbars, Drills and Saws including cordless portable power tools Blowtorches, tools with a blade or shaft of more than 6 cm
e.) Blunt instruments - objects capable of being used to cause injury when used to hit, including:
Baseball and softball bats, Clubs and batons, billy clubs, blackjacks, Night sticks, Martial arts equipment
f.) Explosives and incendiary substances and devices capable, or appearing capable, of being used to cause
serious injury or to pose a threat to the safety of aircraft, including:

Ammunition, Blasting caps, detonators and fuses, replica or imitation explosive devices,
Mines, grenades and other explosive military stores, Fireworks and other pyrotechnics
Smoke-generating canisters and smoke-generating cartridges, Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.v

2. Hold Baggage - LIST OF PROHIBITED ARTICLES - Regulation (EU) 2015/1998, Attachment 5-B

Passengers are not permitted to carry the following articles in their hold baggage:
Explosives and incendiary substances and devices capable of being used to cause serious injury or to pose a threat to the safety of aircrafts, including:
Ammunition, blasting caps, detonators and fuses, mines, grenades and other military explosives Fireworks and pyrotechnics smoke-generating canisters and smoke-generating cartridges Dynamite gunpowder.
