ASG Business Aviation is looking for a Lead Accountant
We are hiring a Lead Accountant to oversee the full financial cycle and regulatory reporting in accordance with Azerbaijani legislation. The position manages core fiscal operations, multi-currency transactions, and specialized aviation costs like aircraft maintenance. Additionally, it requires strong leadership to coordinate accounting staff, support audits, and drive process automation.

Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain accounting records in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of · · Azerbaijan and the Company's internal policies and procedures.
· Ensure the accuracy and timely recording of all business transactions in the · accounting system.
· Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including reconciliations with counterparties.
· Monitor bank transactions, payments, and cash operations.
· Participate in the preparation and submission of tax, statistical, and other mandatory reports.
· Prepare data and supporting schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
· Monitor accounting records related to fixed assets, inventories, and other company assets.
· Review primary accounting documents (invoices, acts, delivery notes, contracts, etc.) to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal procedures.
· Ensure timely recognition of revenues, expenses, accruals, and provisions.
· Participate in inventory counts and ensure proper accounting treatment of inventory results.
· Prepare information and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
· Monitor the timely receipt, review, proper documentation, and recording of primary accounting documents.
· Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, document flow, and archiving procedures.
· Participate in the automation and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
· Provide methodological support to accounting staff and monitor the quality of their work.
· Prepare analytical reports, reconciliations, and financial information for management upon request.
· Coordinate the work of accountants and monitor the completion of assigned tasks.
· Monitor accounting records related to aircraft maintenance expenses, spare parts, and aviation services.
· Participate in management reporting and budget versus actual variance analysis.
Monitor foreign currency transactions and international settlements.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar position.
· Strong knowledge of accounting, tax, and labor legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
· Proficiency in 1C Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.
· Knowledge of IFRS is considered an advantage.
· PMS certification is required.
· ACCA (completed or partially completed), CAP/CIPA, DipIFR, or other professional accounting and finance qualifications will be considered an advantage.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of responsibility.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Working conditions:
· In accordance with the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
· Job Location: Baku, Heydar Aliyev International Airport
· Work schedule: Full-time (5 days per week, from 10:00 to 19:00)
· Transportation is provided by the company from Koroglu m/s.
